Bees with Victor

Victor is this amazing guy who was the mayor of a nearby town and part-time chemist. He helps people grow things in this near impossible biome. He took us to a nearby farm where he works on soil chemistry, cheese making and beekeeping! We got to eat some very dark amber honey-soaked honeycomb straight from the hive after this too. There’s just nothing like it.

Victor is tying a belt of vines at my waist so the bees don’t fly up the bee shirt.  It was really tight and totally hilarious

Two of my ten housemates, Naomi (left, from Lexington, Mass) and Carina (Los Angeles, CA.) were there also for the beexperience.

I forget what Victor was pointing at but he gave us a lot of information about what goes on at this farm

there are no wells around here so they have to get creative. Runoff from other hills and streams runs down pipes to this hilltop reservoir that provides irrigation to the whole farm.
